Telling (short) Stories for 2013 study

To quote a reviewer: “If you are looking to take a writing class, save your dollars and buy this book, read your eyeballs out.”

For the 2013 Module of Short Stories for Bath Spa Uni.. we have all been told to buy ‘Telling Stories” by Joyce Carol Oates (ed.)¬†Whilst it is not a guide to writing the craft it is a rich, diverse pool of the ‘short’ to get context on the genre. It’s a beefy book at over 700 pages and covers 100 different stories, and sadly no eBook version available. I’ll hate lugging this tomb around in my bag, but it does sound like a decent purchase for the longterm library.
